Corporate Risk Systems Ltd (CRS) one of the UK’s largest privately owned Health, Safety & Environmental Training Providers is now entering into its 15th year of trading and will be Celebrating this year with lots of special offers, competitions, events etc. CRS commenced business back in 1999 and Stephen Asbury current Managing Director of CRS has seen many changes during the last few years. CRS based in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire currently delivers Health Safety & Environmental Training Courses across the UK at 15 training venues, and their open courses are for anyone who wishes to move into a career in Health, Safety or Environmental or are already in these sectors and have the responsibility for these areas in their current employment. CRS continue to develop new courses in line with new market trends, for example: Changes to ISO 14001 will come in to force in January 2015 and CRS are arranging a series of free seminars throughout the year, also just announced is the change to legislation for Company Directors who from September 2013 will need to report on the Green House Gas (GHG) and Carbon foot print for their organisation with their annual accounts, CRS have courses and seminars ready to address this. CRS is currently also delivering training across six continents and offer training in 56 countries worldwide. Training is also offered to MOD Service leavers who are either leaving the forces due to their natural end of term or have seen themselves in the bracket for redundancy, with around 5000 redundancies announced last week, CRS have seen a marked increase in enquiries through the Enhanced Learning Credit (ELC) scheme which has been set up by the government to ensure that the service leavers are offered re-training for work in civilian life. Ex-service personnel do have up to 10 years to claim ELC allowances after they have left.
CRS also like to recognise their delegates and hold annual awards for the delegate who has achieved the highest overall mark during the course. Martin Moran – Operations Manager – Four Seasons Shopping Centre, Mansfield collected this year’s NEBOSH Environmental Candidate of the Year 2013 Award and a special presentation was held at Sahara Force India Formula 1 HQ – Silverstone in May. CRS also gather their 30 or so staff together once a year for a Family Day out and last year everyone had a fantastic day at Sudbury Childhood of Museum, in which many of them went back to their childhood and had a go at “top spinning” “hoola hooping” and competed in the museums competitions. A two course lunch and prize giving concluded the day.
As we are now at the 15 year milestone CRS have decided that we should celebrate in a way that will give pleasure to others and our future generation by planting 15 trees for every year of trading. Stephen Asbury said “The CRS Head Office is located in the largest town in the National Forest, and we’re pleased to play our part once again in developing this national resource. CRS has been 100% carbon free since 2005, and like to show the others the way when it comes to taking responsibility for environmental impacts. To the trees we planted five years ago to commemorate our tenth birthday, we’ve now added another planting to commemorate our fifteenth anniversary. We’re proud to support the National Forest.”
Louise from the National Forest said “the tree planting for the upcoming season will take place at a site recently acquired by the National Forest Company close to Nanpanton and on the eastern boundary of the Forest”. We hope to bring more information and pictures of our trees in our regular enewsletter and more reports will be posted on our blog www.crsrisk.com
Ros Stacey UK Sales Director for CRS said “CRS is a dynamic energetic and pioneering organisation where growth has been built upon by many satisfied individual and corporate clients – we uphold the highest standards and strive for excellence in all our dealings” Ros then went on to say “A big thank you to all our customers and clients who have supported us over the last 15 years and we all look forward to another celebration when we reach our 20th Anniversary”.
